Madanmohan Ghosh

Senior Advisor

Madanmohan (Madan) is an economist with over 25 years of experience in economic policy analysis using large-scale economic models across academia and the Government of Canada.

Prior to joining the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer, he was a Principal Economist at the Bank of Canada. Earlier in his career, he held senior advisory and economic policy modelling leadership positions at Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Department of Finance Canada, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

Madan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. During his doctoral studies, he was a Visiting Scholar at Western University and subsequently completed an IDRC-funded postdoctoral fellowship there. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has taught undergraduate and graduate economics courses at Western University and Carleton University.
